While studies have explored this topic globally, specific research within Nigerian healthcare settings, such as the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, is limited.

Statement of the Problem

Nurses at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital face significant stress, which may impact their mental health and quality of patient care. There is a need to evaluate the effectiveness of stress management interventions in improving nurses' mental well-being in this context.

Objectives of the Study

1. Assess Stress Levels: Determine the current levels of stress among nurses at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

2. Evaluate Intervention Effectiveness:Assess the impact of stress management interventions on nurses' mental well-being.

3. Identify Improvement Areas: Identify areas where stress management interventions can be enhanced to better support nurses.

Research Hypotheses

1. Nurses at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital experience high levels of stress.

3. Enhancing certain aspects of stress management interventions can further improve nurses' mental well-being.

Scope and Limitations of the Study

This study will focus on nurses at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. Limitations may include variability in individual stress levels and potential biases in self-reported data.
